Community Event Liaison
I participated in two separate committees that organized large events for our community and alumni. The Hall of Fame Banquet was a very large undertaking that included working with a small group of community leaders to induct five alumni ranging from multiple decades and provide dinner and an enjoyable evening for their guests to travel and celebrate. The banquet had many guests including Johnston County Public Schools School Board members, Area Superintendent, and community celebrities. The committee members and I were given multiple compliments on how well the evening went off. I was proud to be a part of this group of leaders.

New Curriculum Teacher Professional Development Organization
With the implementation of a new ELA curriculum in Johnston County Public Schools, there are multiple required PD sessions for teachers to attend in order to present the material with fidelity and efficiency. As the PD Coordinator I was responsible for organizing teacher attendance plans and coverage plans for multiple teachers to be out of the building on multiple days throughout the school year. Here is one piece of evidence in structuring this required district initiative. My ability to organize necessary PD with required staff is important for teachers to trust I am being fair while meeting expectations from the county. |
